the celebration database is currently a blog written by kara dj, with the hopes of eventually becoming a fully functional star wars celebration history database. for now, you’ll find articles about moments and milestones in celebration history, as well as findings from kara’s research and experiences from fans. star wars celebration is all about loving star wars for everything that it is and then connecting with others who share that love, and that’s what this site is about, too!
kara dj is a star wars fandom historian currently deep in research about the history of celebration. her fanzine “into a larger world” began in june of 2019 and has now published more than 40 different zines about all areas of the star wars universe. in july of 2023, kara started her podcast, also called “into a larger world”, where she talks to fans from all over the star wars galaxy about their own fandom and dives into stories behind big moments in fandom history.
